To make the "bracelet" take tape (I used packing tape) and wrap it around your child's wrist, sticky side up. I wrapped Ty's around a couple times to make a large area for him to stick to. I made one for myself too. As I wrapped the tape, I talked to him about how we would head outside and find things like sticks, leaves, grass and flowers to decorate our bracelets, then headed out.
Well, Tyler had other plans, like playing with his toys on the deck. On his way around the house he decided to bang on the stove pipe that runs up along the house, which he promptly stuck to! I wish I would have take a picture of that before I freed him as it was quite humorous (well, to me anyhow). As seen above, he did decide to stick a bunch of pine needles that fell on the deck onto his bracelet, but that was it. Naturally, some sand stuck to it while he played in his sandbox, but that was pretty much it. Maybe another day!
Our bracelets hanging proudly on Ty's cork board, waiting for us to talk about the objects on them. Can you tell which one is mine? :)
By the way, I keep forgetting to mention that Peaceful Parenting is now on Facebook and Twitter! Thank you so much to all of my followers so far!
